New York’s Funniest Reporter, Clutch the Pearls Shows Set for New York Underground Comedy Festival

New Yorks Funniest Reporter ShowThe 4th annual New York’s Funniest Reporter Show is set to become one of the main attractions at the New York Underground Comedy Festival. Executive produced by Ryan McCormick, the show and will feature 10 media professionals performing five minutes of stand-up comedy to compete for the coveted title of “New York’s Funniest Reporter” and raise money for Operation Uplink – a charity that supports U.S. Troops and their families.

This year’s performers will be Taryn Winter Brill (Good Morning America), Ellis Henican (Fox News & Newsday), Lori Harfenist (The Resident), David Webb (Fox News), Rob Hoell (CW11), Nikki Egan (NBC), Marianne Schaberg (HGTV / CNN), Noelle Hancock (Harper Collins), and Robert George (New York Post). 2008 NYFR champion Alison Rosen will be performing in the show, but will not be competing.

The New York’s Funniest Reporter Show will take place Sunday, October 4 at 6pm at Comic Strip Live.

Later that week, Tom Ragu will host Clutch the Pearls, featuring NYC’s funniest emerging LGBT comedians at the Laugh Lounge, Wednesday, October 7 at 9pm. Scheduled performers include Danny Leary, Chris Doucette, Joanne Filan, Brad Loekle, Chantal Carrere and Chanelle Futrell.
