Great American Comedy FestivalThe Great American Comedy Festival is accepting registrations for its 2013 amateur competition. Comedians can register by selecting one of three scheduled performance dates and submitting contact information (name, address, mobile phone numbe), headshot and 3-sentence bio to Lori Williams at lori@insuranceassociates.biz.

Within one week, registrants must mail a $50 refundable performance deposit payable to Great American Comedy Festival to PO Box 2435 Norfolk, NE 68702-1128. The performance deposit will be refunded to upon the comedian’s appearance at the amateur competition. However, a maximum of 10 – 12 comedians will be accepted per show and submission is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Comedians must select one of the following three shows:

  • January, 26 at the West Point Community Theatre in West Point, NE
  • February 9 at Divots Conference Center in Norfolk, NE
  • March 16 at the O’Neill Community Center in O’Neill, NE.

Comedians are required to perform a clean six (6) minute set. (No props will be allowed.)

The finals will take place June 7 at the festival’s dinner show at Divots Convention Center in Norfolk.

The 2013 Great American Comedy Festival will run June 12-15 in Norfolk, NE. Comedy star Drew Carey will headline this year’s festival and veteran comedian Tom Cotter (America’s Got Talent) will perform.
