The Metropolitan Room have teamed up with online platform LIVAMP to present the longest variety show ever featuring over 250 comedians, magicians, musicians, novelty performers and hosts starting at 7pm on January 1 and playing non-stop through 7am on Sunday January 4. The Marathon Variety Show will vie for the Guinness World Records in an attempt to provide 60 hours of continuous entertainment showcasing performers from New York City and around the world.
The multi-day event will feature up and coming and veteran comedians such as Eddie Brill, Judy Gold, Jane Condon, Harrison Greenbaum, Jon Fisch, Jeffrey Gurian, April Brucker, Luke Thayer, Ellen Karis, Liz Barrett, Tom Ragu, Shelly Colman, Joe Lipari, Matt Nagin, Theresa DeGaetano, Rich Grasso, Phil Sweet, Ben Rosenfeld, Lori Summer, Joe Alfano, Andrew Schiavone, Nicky Sunshine, Phil O’Reilly, Danny Lofaro, Vicky Kuperman, Ben Conrad, Dave Rosner, Tracey Hassel, Carlo Bellario and Steve Marden.
The Metropolitan Room will also host a longest audience duration contest for customers who attend the longest for a non-stop period of time or combined recorded attendance over the three-day period by reservation. (Note: Attendees will not be permitted to sleep in the showroom.) The club will offer two prizes: eight (8) VIP gold tickets for 1st place and two (2) VIP gold tickets for 2nd place. The ticket prize package includes prime seating, open bar, appetizers and dessert good through June 30, 2015.
Day passes are available at $25 per person or $60 for a four-day pass. The club will offer a complimentary drink with each ticket purchased. Free breakfast will be served 7am – 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The food or beverage minimum will not apply during the marathon except for Marilyn Maye, whose By Request set requires a separate ticket purchase ($35 plus a two drink minimum).
LIVAMP will broadcast the marathon live on www.livamp.com for 60 hours in high definition for those who can’t attend in person.
