Comedian-Radio Host Advises Warm-Up Acts

Comedian-Radio Host Responds to John McCain’s Warm-Up Act

“Whether it’s a game show or something less classy like a political rally, the unwritten rules remain the same. Fire up and wake up the audience and get them focused, tell the audience what they are about to see — and where the bathrooms are, keep it moving, and remember, they’re not there to see you, so don’t make it about you,” Steve Cochran told the Chicago Tribune. Cochran’s comments follow radio host Bill Cunningham’s much publicized verbal assault on Barack Obama in his warm-up act at a rally for John McCain.

Cochran is a veteran stand-up comedian and host of Chicago’s WGN radio afternoon talk show, The Steve Cochran Show.
