Eddie Griffin Bails on Hometown Comedy Club

Eddie GriffinComedian-actor Eddie Griffin was set to tape a segment of his VH1 show Going for Broke at Stanford’s Comedy Club in Kansas City, MO last Friday, but the producers canceled, the Kansas City Star reports. Griffin, who had a beef with his home club after a manager criticized his act, made an amends with owner Craig Glazer and agreed to shoot scenes for his reality show at the club.

“I actually bought ads and put tickets on sale because I wanted to make sure it sold out,” Glazer told the Kansas City Star. “You know it just makes me look stupid…So instead of making money, I’m going to lose money. But there’s nothing I can do about it.”
