The Great American Comedy Festival (Norfolk, NE) is hosting an amateur competition with five shows (four in Norfolk and one in Falls City) from late January through mid-April.
At each of the five, the top two comedians — as voted on by audience members — will advance to compete at the 2009 Great American Comedy Festival on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, and have a chance to win a $500 top prize. Scheduled to serve as hosts are Deacon Gray — who won the comedy competition at the 2008 festival — as well as Joe DeRosa, Drake Witham, Chris Coccia and Joe Klocek.
