Museum of Comedy Accepting Donations to Support Homeless, Employ Comics

Jane CondonThe Museum of Comedy is accepting donations to support its outreach efforts to bring cheer to hospitals, homeless shelters and employ comics. Sallie O. Elkordy, the museum’s director, will produce two shows in March: The 15th annual The Lilt of Irish Laughter at the United Cerebral Palsy of New York City on March 10, 2009 at 7pm, featuring comedians Jane Condon, Kerri Louise, Bill McCarty, Nanci Richards, and honoring Late Night with Conan O’Brien writer Brian Kiley on his 100th show.

On March 17, 2009, Elkordy will host a show at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital at 6:30pm featuring comics Buddy Bolton, Brian Kiley, Bill McCarty, Joy Boy, Carolyn May and Merry Mary.

Members can RSVP for free at (718) 268-2914. A $50 membership sponsors one comic for one show and $100 membership sponsors two comics. Tax deductible donations can be sent to the Museum of Comedy at 68-36 Fleet Street, Forest Hills, NY  11375.
