Comic Observations: Comedians Can Learn a Lesson from A-List Actors

Terrence HowardIn his response to being cut from Iron Man 2, Oscar nominee Terrence Howard offers advice to actors, which also serves as a reminder to comedians who want to negotiate better pay and break down gender and racial barriers at comedy clubs.

“Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice. They didn’t keep their word. They didn’t honor my contract,” Howard tells Parade magazine…They did the same thing with Gwyneth Paltrow, from what I’ve been told. They did with almost everyone except Robert Downey. One of the things that actors need to learn to do is always stick together, one for all and all for one.”

Trivia: Don Cheadle, the Oscar-nominated actor replacing Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2, tried stand-up comedy before pursuing a career in acting.
