Comedian and late-night talk show host Chelsea Handler will emcee the 2010 MTV Music Video Awards. Keeping fans Twitter ready, Handler will deliver her comedic edge, pop culture wit and hilarious social commentary to this year’s show. The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12 at 9pm (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.)
“This has been a huge year for hip-hop and rap, and it is well-known that I have the closest ties with these communities – musically and sexually,” said Chelsea Handler. “I am to rap and hippity-hop, what Warren Buffet is to finance, minus the sex.”
Handler is the host of her late-night talk show, Chelsea Lately on E! Entertainment Television and a best-selling author.
