Comedy Central’s ‘Benson Interruption’ Premieres in October

Comedy Central has picked up comedian Doug Benson’s half-hour series, The Benson Interruption, for six episodes. The series will premiere Thursday, October 28 at 12am. Based on the popular live show of the same name, The Benson Interruption features Benson sitting on stage and interrupting his friends’ performances. Benson’s guests include comedians Adam Carolla, Nick Swardson, Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Thomas Lennon, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Eugene Mirman, who will share stories and talk about what’s going on in the world and Benson will chime in whenever he pleases.

“It’s not heckling, it’s helping,” said Benson. “There’s a major difference. Well, just a few letters, but you know what I mean. All of the comics on the show are friends of mine. I’m not interrupting strangers. They are well aware of what they are getting into when they agree to do the show. I hope.”

Each episode of The Benson Interruption will be made available in HD and SD for download-to-own the day after the episode premieres on iTunes, Xbox LIVE, Zune Marketplace, Amazon Video on Demand and Sony Playstation Network.
