Improv.com, the online home of the Improv Comedy Clubs, has launched The 5 Spot, their newest platform to help elevate up-and-coming comedians with quality stage time in front of someone who can help take them to the next level.
The winner will be flown to Los Angeles to perform in front of the talent booker of the Improv and a packed room. Every few weeks, a new challenge will be created and the winner will receive a flight to Hollywood to perform their set directly before a national headliner.
To qualify for the contest, comedians must register online for an official Improv.com comedian profile. Comedians will contacted within 24 hours regarding eligibility.
Once signed up, comedians can start sending fans to their profile page, and whoever receives the most new fans by January 1, 2011 wins.
