Comedian-actresss Brett Butler will join the all-star lineup to Yakov Presents STAND UP FOR JOPLIN. The comedy show will be hosted by Yakov Smirnoff and will feature Bill Chott (The Ringer, Wizards of Waverly Place), David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and The Office) and Michael Jr. (The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live). Other performers will be announced.
Smirnoff’s goal to unite the stand-up comedy community will help families affected by the May 22nd tornado in rebuilding Joplin.
Yakov Presents STAND UP FOR JOPLIN will take place on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 7pm in the Taylor Performing Arts Center at MSSU. The event will also feature celebrities sending special messages. Telethon viewers can call designated toll-free phone numbers, text or donate online at www.RebuildJoplin.org to make financial pledges to throughout the telecast. The show is free to the residents of Joplin. No reserved tickets.
