CBS Announces Contract Extensions for Late-Night TV Hosts Letterman, Ferguson

CBS has announced new contract extensions with with David Letterman and Craig Ferguson to host their respective late night show, “Late Show” and “The Late Late Show,” through 2014.

Late Show with David Letterman. Letterman, who premiered in late night in 1982, would become the longest-running late night talk show host in television history, surpassing the current record of 30 years by Johnny Carson.

As part of this new deal, The Late Late Show will move to a larger stage at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, and CBS will co-produce the series with Worldwide Pants, Inc.

The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is broadcast weeknights at 11:35pm-12:37am ET/PT and 12:37-1:37am ET/PT, respectively on the CBS.
