Jocelyn Chia’s hilarious performance made her the obvious front-runner in the third Ladies of Laughter preliminary show on July 25. Chia won the event and was victorious again in the Grand Finale show where she nabbed the 2016 Newcomer title. Originally from Singapore, the former attorney won New York’s Funniest Lawyer Contest at Gotham Comedy Club and has appeared in the Chicago Women In Comedy Festival.
